Maybe It’s Just Hope – What Finds Its Way Back..
Do you believe in karma?
I believe in karma.
Not just the bad kind.
The good kind too.
I don’t know what karma actually is. I don’t know if the universe keeps score, or if there really is some invisible scale somewhere, quietly measuring what we give and what eventually finds its way back to us.
I just know there have been moments in my life when I couldn’t quite explain what happened.
Moments when something went right that really shouldn’t have.
When a door opened after I’d already made peace with it staying closed.
When someone showed up at exactly the moment I needed them.
When life, for once, seemed to say,
Here. You can have this one.
And I remember thinking…
Maybe.
Maybe this is what people mean when they talk about karma.
Maybe this is what grace feels like when you’re too tired to call it anything else.
Because life can take you places you never imagined.
Sometimes you get to the end of something and just sit there thinking,
Damn.
I really didn’t think it would end like this.
And sometimes it’s worse.
I really didn’t think it would end well for me.
And then somehow…
it does.
Not perfectly.
Not dramatically.
Sometimes barely.
But enough.
Enough that you sit quietly for a minute afterward, almost afraid to disturb it.
Enough to make you wonder if all those small things you’ve put into the world, the kindness nobody noticed, the person you helped when you didn’t have much to give, the forgiveness you offered, the times you chose not to hurt someone even when you could have..
Maybe they don’t just simply disappear.
Maybe they stay somewhere.
Maybe they pass through people.
Through timing.
Through chance.
Through a thousand tiny things we’ll never truly see.
And maybe, every once in a while, a little bit of it finds its way back to us.
Not because we earned it.
Not because the universe owes us anything.
Just because…
Maybe that’s how balance works.
That’s what I like to believe karma is.
Not punishment.
Not reward.
Just a quiet correction.
A subtle tipping of the scales.
A little save here.
A little lesson there.
A strange turn of events that makes you laugh afterward and think,
Well… that was weirdly specific π

I don’t think life is fair enough to believe that everything happens for a reason.
Some people are good and still get hurt.
Some people do terrible things and seem to get away with them.
Sometimes there is no lesson.
Sometimes there is no satisfying ending.
Sometimes the scales just…
don’t move.
And I think we have to be honest about that too.
But then there are those moments.
Those tiny, almost forgettable moments that nobody else would understand.
The ones that make you stop and think,
Maybe I’m not completely on my own here.
Maybe it’s karma.
Maybe it’s grace.
Maybe it’s a guardian angel brushing past without making a sound.
Maybe it’s coincidence wearing a beautiful disguise.
I don’t know.
And maybe I don’t need to.
I just know I’ve lived long enough to have a few moments where the universe seemed to quietly tip something back in my direction.
And those moments stay with you.
Not because they prove anything.
But because, for a second, they make the world feel a little less random.
A little less cold…
Like somewhere beneath all this beautiful, ridiculous chaos, there might still be a balance trying to hold.
Not the kind that arrives on our schedule.
Not the kind that looks the way we imagined.
Sometimes it comes years later.
Sometimes it comes disguised as something else entirely.
Sometimes it arrives so quietly that you almost miss it.
And sometimes…
It finds you only after you’ve stopped waiting for it.
Maybe that’s the part I believe in most.
Not that everything will be made right.
Just that the good we put into the world, might not be as temporary as we think.
That maybe some things travel.
That maybe some things return.
And that every once in a while, when life has been especially cruel, something impossibly gentle finds its way back to us.
Enough to make us stop.
Enough to make us breathe.
Enough to whisper,
See!?
Keep going.
Maybe the scales are still there…
Just as a gentle hope, that maybe it is…

Somewhere, the Cosmic Bookkeeper is looking at humanity like, βI did not budget for this level of nonsense’ π
A Little Note From Me..
I don’t know what karma truly is.
I don’t think I ever will.
Maybe I’ve never understood the weight of it, or the rules by which it moves. Maybe I’m only giving a name to those strange little moments in life that don’t quite make sense any other way.
But I believe in balance.
I believe in fairness.
Or at least, I want to believe that somewhere beneath all the chaos of being human, there is something quietly trying to find it.
And maybe that’s what karma is to me.
Not punishment. Not reward.
Just the universe, every now and then, reaching over and very, very subtly tipping its scales.
A small save here.
A door opening when you were sure every door was closed.
A person showing up at exactly the right time.
A second chance you didn’t know you were going to get.
Or sometimes, a lesson so strangely specific that you can’t help but laugh and think,
Well… I suppose that’s karma π
I like the idea that it isn’t black and white. That nobody is walking around with a cosmic scorecard, waiting to stamp us good or bad.
Maybe it’s much quieter than that.
Maybe karma is simply life nudging things back toward balance in ways we’re too small to notice until much later.
And honestly!?
I love the idea of living in a world where karma is always watching.
Where somewhere, somehow, somebody is keeping score.
Not because I need the bad people to be punished.
But because…
have you looked at humanity!? π
Imagine giving an entire planet full of unsupervised human beings absolutely nobody to report to.
Terrifying.
So yes, I choose to believe there’s something.
A quiet witness.
A gentle scale.
A little bit of cosmic bookkeeping happening somewhere beyond what I can see.
And maybe that’s naive.
Maybe it’s just hope dressed up as spirituality.
I’m okay with that.
Because sometimes believing that the scales are still there, even when I can’t see them, is enough to make this wildly unfair, wonderfully strange life feel a little less random.
And if, once in a while, the universe decides to tip them gently in my direction…
I’ll take it.
I won’t ask too many questions.
I’ll just say thank you π
If something in these words stayed with you for a little while, maybe that’s enough.
And if you’d like to, pull up a chair.
There are more conversations waiting here, about the things we carry, the things we lose, the things we somehow find again, and all the quiet questions that don’t always need an answer.
Stay for a while.
This little corner of the internet is where we make room for the questions, the contradictions, and the things we’re still trying to understand
